Press-button fasteners are made from plastics or metals of the two materials and can be periodically removed and replaced or reused when servicing of the part is necessary. It is a simple and versatile joining method. Traditionally used for metals, it can be used to join plastics to other plastics or plastics to metals.
In decades, a new revolution relates to metal snap fasteners and has particular reference to such fasteners made of plastics. One object of the plastic snap is to provide an improved spring operating fastener made wholly of plastic material, or at least without requiring any metal.
Nowadays, plastic fasteners are more lightweight, corrosion resistant, and impact resistant comparing with metals. They do not freeze on threads of screws and require no lubrication. The range of plastic items are broadly wide and comprehends snap fasteners, sewable buttons and buckles for garments and accessories.
